  • The Union of Poles in Armenia

     

    The Union of Poles in Armenia „Polonia” was estabilished in 1996 and currently numbers over 200 members. The organization is headed by prof. Alla Kuźmińska.

     

    The Union of Poles’ activity is directed at Poles and people of Polish descent living in Armenia. The association also promotes cultural heritage and knowledge about Poland in local communities.

     

    Polish language classes are held in the headquarters of the association, it also publishes a quarterly called “Póki My Żyjemy!” (“As long as we live”), organizes meetings of youth and seniors, runs a Polish library and the “Gwiazdeczka” choir.

    Poles’ Cooperation “Dom Polski”

     

    Poles’ cooperation “Dom Polski” is a social charity organization for people with Polish origin and connected with Poland residing in region Shirak in the North West Armenia. The organization is located in Gyumri. “Dom Polski” has been operating independently since 2013. The head of the organization is Artiom Karlowicz.

     

    The aim of the organization is to strengthen the ties and dynamic collaboration between Poles and Armenians, as well as to promote, support and develop Polish culture, traditions and the language among the members of the organization.

    „Polska Rodzina” NGO 

     

    „Polska Rodzina” NGO (eng. „The Polish Family”) is a Polish non-government organization functioning in Armenia since from 19th November 2014 (formerly, the organization members were the head members of “Armenian-Polish Cooperation” organization). The members of the organizations are Poles as well as representatives of Slavic nationalities. The chairman is Mrs Marzena Kurach-Aghamiryan.

     

    „Polska Rodzina” NGO  promotes Polish culture and traditions in Armenia. It organizes artistic programs devoted to patriotic themes as well as traditional Polish Christmas celebrations. It is also engaged in charity activities.

     

    The younger generation of the organization participates at the Polish language courses, which are held at the State Linguistic University after V. Bryusov. The classes are led by a Polish pedagogue.
